Alt’ın Üstün*

*Sürekli genişleyerek birbirinden uzaklaşan galaksilerin ortası olmayan küçücük bir noktasında, yukarıya bakarken altını gören, aşağıya düşerken göklere tutunan, tüm evreni bir masa-altına sığdıran, sessizliğinde anlatan bir yaşam formu.

**Kırılanı kırıldığı yerde bırakmadan, her bir parçasını özenle temizleyip, altın sırla yeniden bir araya getirerek yeni bir bütünlüğe dönüştürmek. Altın, kırılanın kıymetinden anlar; kırılanın hafızasına hürmet eder; yeniden bir arada durabilmek için cesaret verir; kusurdaki mucizeyi tanır.

Alt: Underneath
Altın: Gold
Alt’ın: Your inner side
Üstün: 1-Trancendent 2-Your Upper Side

*A life-form residing on a tiny dot, not-central to the ever-expanding galaxies that drift away from another. It refers to those who see the underneath as they look up, who take root on the skies as they fall down, who squeeze in the whole universe at the bottom of a desk, and who narrate through silence.

**To treat the broken pieces with care, bring them together using a golden glaze and transform into a new existence. Gold, appreciates the damage; honours the memory of the broken; encourages to stand together; recognizes the miracle within the flaw.

kesin birşey yok / nothing is certain

"Kesin Birşey Yok - Nothing is Certain" is an experimental art lab, a "drawing" board, a page out of your exercise book, it is a 'room of one's own', a tabula rasa despite the wallpaper and paint.
It is a time and space dedicated to the exhibition of the artist's inhibition of creative process and practice. Whatever will be will be, nothing is certain.

This exhibition is a collaboration of various artists from Cyprus, France, Persia and the United Kingdom. These artists have created their works of art through their own personal interpretation and understanding of this building. They have focused on their individual feelings and impressions and they created their works of art in their own time and place.

The exhibition brings together different practices, bound together by their insistence to venture into facets of experience whose potential as procedural tools of grafting is often lost between and within the lines. Grafting here suggests a creative branching of gestures, imbued by an awareness of reciprocity that requires a certain belief in our infinite responsibility towards the other.
Through the creation of (Im)possible worlds, the utilisation of in-betweenness (that time-space ‘before breakfast’, where we wake up and everything is possible)  that aims towards a redistribution of (communal) sensibility, the artists presented create the conditions for differential positionings in times and spaces which are often held sterile and silent.

In this work, I’ve walked the same route, that I walk every day in my neighbourhood, in a different city. Counting my steps and repeating them in another city opens up full of coincidences. It creates another experience which is familiar but made up of completely new forms.
